Miami Takes On Central Florida

Coral Gables, FL – The 40th-ranked University of Miami women’s tennis team (8-9) will face 39th-ranked Central Florida (16-3) this Friday, April 7 starting at 2 p.m. at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables.
Miami, which looks to snap its three-match losing streak, is coming off of a 7-2 loss at 16th ranked Texas on March 26. The Hurricanes were led by the doubles tandem of Katia Bogomolova and Marcy Hora. Bogomolova and Hora knocked off Kaysie Smashey and Joanne Masongsong at No. 1 doubles.
Miami also received a singles victory from freshman Lauren Scaglione at No. 5 singles.
Central Florida, who’s No. 39 national ranking is the highest in school history, has won 10 straight matches including a 9-0 victory over Trans America Athletic Conference rival Jackson State on March 28.
