Moss Named Biletnikoff Semi-Finalist

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami junior wide receiver SantanaMoss has been named one of 10 semi-finalists for the Biletnikoff Award,presented annually to the nation’s top wide receiver by the TallahasseeQuarterback Club Foundation. Through six games, Moss leads the Hurricaneswith 27 catches for 512 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
Moss, who has 16 catches of 10 or more yards this season, hasexcelled in big games. In the Kickoff Classic vs. Ohio State on August 29,Moss had three receptions for 115 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown. Attop-ranked Florida State on October 9, Moss had a career-high nine catchesfor 180 yards, including an 80-yard TD. Moss was named the Chevrolet Playerof the Game following both contests.
Joining Moss as semifinalists for the award are: Plaxico Burress(Michigan State), Kwame Cavil (Texas), JaJuan Dawson (Tulane), Trevor Insley(Nevada), Darrell Jackson (Florida), Dennis Northcutt (Arizona), TroyWalters (Stanford), Peter Warrick (Florida State) and Dez White (GeorgiaTech).
Three finalists for the award will be announced on November 18. Thewinner will be announced at the ESPN Awards Presentation in Orlando onDecember 9.
