Hurricanes Receive NCAA Tournament Bid

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Universityof Miami men’s tennis team (10-12)will face sixth-seeded Florida (17-5) in the opening round of the NCAAMen’sTennis Championships beginning May 14 in Gainesville, FL.

Florida was selected asone of 16 regional sites consisting of fourteams. The winners of each regional advance to Athens, GA for the NCAAChampionship finals May 22-25.

Miami, ranked 52nd in thenation, and Florida, ranked ninth, will bejoined in Gainesville by 28th-ranked South Florida (20-4) and 46th-rankedNorth Carolina State (14-12). The Hurricanes are 1-1 against teamsin itsregion. Miami defeated North Carolina State, 5-2, on Feb. 19 and felltoSouth Florida, 6-1, on April 10.
