Saw just one minute of action (vs. Baptist) before ankle injuries sidelined him for the remainder of the season…rehabilitation has him back at 100% and will return in 1990-91 as a redshirt freshman.
High School: Osceola Senior High…three-year starter who is just beginning to tap his physical basketball skills…averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds ad three assists per game in leading his squad to a 25-9 record and a District 3-A championship…hit 55%of his field goal attempts and 76% of his shots from the charity stripe…his team finished fourth in the prestigious Great 40 Shootout that includes several of the country’s top HS teams…was voted first-team all-conference and all-area…tallied 12 points in the Florida North/South All-Star game…also played HS baseball, positioned at first base…joins fellow freshman Trevor Burton as the two current Miami players from the state of Florida…coached in high school by Ed Kershner.
