Olsen Named to Lou Groza Award Preseason Watch List
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami kicker Jack Olsen was named to the 2026 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Preseason Watch List, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced Friday.
The award, presented by the Orange Bowl, is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate place-kicker.
Olsen arrives in Coral Gables following a standout 2025 season at Northwestern. The Wheaton, Ill., native connected on 19 of 21 field-goal attempts, finishing the year with a 90.5% success rate. Olsen also converted 24 of 25 extra-point attempts and totaled 81 points across 12 appearances. His longest field goal of the season came from 41 yards.
The 2026 watch list features 35 kickers in recognition of the award’s 35th anniversary. All FBS kickers remain eligible for the honor throughout the season.
Miami opens its 2026 campaign Sept. 4 at Stanford. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
