Miami Rowing Places 16 on All-ACC Academic Team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sixteen University of Miami rowing student-athletes were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday.
Thirteen of Miami’s 16 honorees have earned recognition on multiple All-ACC Academic Teams throughout their careers, with Maria Mastrando, Jovana Stanivuk and Naroa Zubimendi Varela all being recognized four times. Additionally, Mary Blinn and Trinity Ferebee have been recognized three times.
The All-ACC Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in both academics and athletics. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a career GPA of 3.0 or higher, in addition to having a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the last two semesters and be enrolled at their institution for at least one academic year. Athletically, they must have competed in either the ACC Championships or the NCAA Championships.
The Hurricanes are coming off a historic season that included their first appearance in the NCAA Championships, where they finished 13th overall in the 22-team field. Miami also earned a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championships this season.
The team’s First Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight are currently competing at the Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England.
