Teixeira Punches Ticket to Eugene
LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Miami’s Deisiane Teixeira punched her ticket to Eugene while two other Hurricanes advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA East Prelims on Thursday at the UK Track & Field Complex.
Teixeira earned her third trip to the NCAA Championships as she placed 10th in the javelin with a throw of 51.01m.
Sanaa Hebron won her heat in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.34. She will compete in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 7:25 p.m.
Gabriella Grissom clocked a 2:04.37 in the 800m to earn a spot in Saturday’s quarterfinal at 7:05 p.m.
Friday’s competition begins at 1 p.m. with the men’s discus while running events are slated to begin at 5 p.m.
