Franks Advances to 400m Quarterfinals at NCAA East Prelims

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Miami senior George Franks qualified for the men’s 400m quarterfinals Wednesday at the NCAA East Preliminaries at the UK Track & Field Complex.

The Mount Sinai, New York, native placed third in his heat to automatically qualify with a time of 45.68. Franks will return to the track Friday at 6:50 p.m. for the 400m quarterfinal.

Thursday’s competition begins at 10 a.m. with the women’s hammer throw while running events are slated to begin at 7:25 p.m.
