Hebron Wins 400m Hurdles at Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA — Miami senior Sanaa Hebron took first in the women’s 400-meter hurdles Thursday night at the Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field, setting a meet record in the process.
Hebron won the event with a time of 55.30, which breaks the previous meet record of 55.36 set by Michigan’s Savannah Sutherland in 2024. Hebron’s time was the fourth-best in Hurricanes history and just shy of her career-best mark of 55.21.
Hebron is the third Cane to win the 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays, joining Dominique Darden (2006) and Tameka Jameson (2010).
Hebron is the reigning ACC champion in the event and also earned All-America honors in the 400m hurdles last season.
The Canes continue competing at the Penn Relays through Saturday.
