Hurricanes To Begin 2024 Outdoor Season In Coral Gables This Weekend

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami track and field team will kick off the 2024 outdoor season Friday morning at Cobb Stadium in Coral Gables, Florida.

The Hurricane Invitational will be the first of three meets that the Hurricanes will host this season. Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with the men’s and women’s hammer throw on Friday, and javelin Saturday.

Admission to the public is free for both days of the Hurricane Invitational. The final schedule of the two-day meet can be found HERE.

Miami will look to compete against athletes spanning ten track and field programs from across the United States. Teams slated to compete this weekend include Boston University, FIU, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas State, LSU, Minnesota, Mississippi State, St. Thomas University, and University of Arkansas (Little Rock).
