CORAL GABLES, Fla. – On Wednesday afternoon, Miami sophomore Sara Byrne was selected by the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee to participate in the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Regionals.

Byrne was selected as an individual to participate at the Palm Beach Gardens Regional, hosted by the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Florida Atlantic and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission are serving as the co-hosts.

Byrne’s top-25 finish at the 2023 ACC Championship in Greensboro, N.C., aided in her qualifying for regionals. At the ACC Championship earlier this month, Byrne tied for 24th individually, with a 54-hole score of 221 (+5).

There are a total of 396 student-athletes competing in regionals, with 156 student-athletes advancing to play in the national championships hosted by Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 19-24.

Regional play will begin in a few short weeks on May 8 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
