Football Remains at No. 10 in Latest CFP Rankings

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — For the third straight week, the Miami Hurricanes football team checked in at No. 10 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Miami’s appearance marks the program’s ninth all-time ranking in the top 10 of the CFP rankings. The Hurricanes cracked the rankings on Nov. 24 for the first time since the final rankings of the 2017 season (Dec. 3, 2017).

With Tuesday’s announcement by the selection committee, the Hurricanes remain ranked in the top 10 of every major poll, including a No. 8 ranking in the Amway Coaches’ Poll and No. 9 ranking in the Associated Press top 25.

Miami’s highest ranking of the year in any poll was No. 7, which was attained in both the AP top 25 and coaches’ poll on Oct. 4.

The Hurricanes (8-1, 7-1 ACC) next host No. 20/20 North Carolina (7-3, 6-3 ACC) in a matchup at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Dec. 12. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
