CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team looks to head into the holiday break on a high note as it plays Florida Atlantic at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Watsco Center. It marks both teams’ final game prior to the holidays.
The game streams online via ACC Network Extra, which is available to authenticated users through ESPN3. The Canes’ radio broadcast airs on WQAM 560-AM and also streams online on HurricaneSports.com, Radio.com and the TuneIn app.

Things To Know
• Miami is the only ACC team with five players averaging in double-figure scoring.
• Ebuka Izundu ranks second in the ACC in field-goal percentage (.685), third in offensive rebounds (3.6/game), fourth in blocked shots (2.1/game) and sixth in rebounding (9.0/game).
• Dejan Vasiljevic has hit at least one 3-pointer in 23 straight games – the longest current streak in the ACC and sixth longest in program history.
• Chris Lykes is ninth in the ACC in scoring (16.6).
• Deng Gak will miss the rest of the season with a left-knee injury, suffered during the Yale game.
• Junior forward Dewan Hernandez has been withheld from competition thus far as the University and NCAA review his eligibility.
Miami (6-4) snapped a four-game losing streak Wednesday with an 80-73 victory over Houston Baptist. Four Canes scored in double figures, led by Anthony Lawrence II with 17 points. Ebuka Izundu recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Chris Lykes leads Miami in scoring this season at 16.6 points per game, while five Hurricanes are averaging at least 12.3 points per game. Zach Johnson (13.2), Dejan Vasiljevic (13.1), Anthony Lawrence II (13.1) and Ebuka Izundu (12.3) also are averaging in double figures. Miami is scoring 78.3 ppg and allowing 69.4 ppg this season.
FAU is 8-3 on the year following a 76-64 win over Florida College on Wednesday. Jailyn Ingram leads the team in scoring (18.9), rebounding (8.2) and blocked shots (1.0), while Anthony Adger is averaging 13.3 ppg. The Owls average 77.0 ppg and give up 68.6 ppg. They are 1-2 in true road games this year, with an 80-79 win at UCF and narrow defeats at Bethune-Cookman (72-70) and Arkansas State (75-71 in double overtime).
Miami is 22-1 all-time against FAU, including 14-0 at home. UM has won seven straight in the series. The programs last played on Dec. 16, 2016, a 76-56 UM win at the Watsco Center. FAU’s lone win in the series was a 74-73 overtime win on Dec. 3, 2002, in Boca Raton.
Miami has a week off for the holidays before returning to action on Saturday, Dec. 29 for a 4 p.m. home game with Campbell. The game will broadcast by the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks, including Fox Sports Florida and Fox Sports South.
