CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team wraps up its season-opening homestand with a 2 p.m. Saturday matchup against Bethune-Cookman at the Watsco Center. The game streams online via ACC Network Extra, which is available to authenticated users through ESPN3. The radio broadcast airs on WKIS-FM 99.1-HD2 and also streams online on HurricaneSports.com.

Things to Know
• In each of its first three games, Miami plays the preseason favorites in their respective conferences – Lehigh (Patriot League), Stephen F. Austin (Southland) and Bethune-Cookman (MEAC).
• Miami has won 18 straight home non-conference games, dating to the 2015-16 season.
• Miami is shooting 45.5 percent from 3-point range and has hit 25 3-pointers in its first two games. UM is shooting 46.7 percent on 2-point field goals.
• Chris Lykes is tied for fourth in the ACC in scoring (21.0) and fifth in assists (5.0).
• Ebuka Izundu recorded 19 rebounds Tuesday – most in the Jim Larrañaga era and the most at UM since Reggie Johnson had 20 against FAU on March 16, 2011.
• Junior forward Dewan Hernandez has been withheld from competition as the University and NCAA review his eligibility. His status Saturday is TBD.
Miami shot 53 percent from the field in rolling to a 96-58 win over Stephen F. Austin Tuesday night at the Watsco Center. For the second straight game, Miami put five players in double figures in the scoring column, highlighted by a monster game from Ebuka Izundu, who recorded a double-double with 22 points and 19 rebounds.
Miami is averaging 89.5 points per game this season while giving up 60 per game.
After cracking the 20-point barrier in each of the first two games, Chris Lykes leads Miami in scoring at 21.0 ppg. He also is averaging 5.0 assists per contest. Anthony Lawrence II is averaging 18.5 ppg while the team stands at 89.5 ppg through two games.
Miami and Bethune-Cookman have met five times previously, all UM wins. The programs last met on Dec. 30, 2009, in Coral Gables, with Miami prevailing, 73-55. Each of Miami’s victories has come by at least 16 points.
Bethune-Cookman (2-2) won its second game in three days on Thursday with a 97-47 home triumph over Johnson University-Florida. The Wildcats are averaging 79.5 points per game and giving up 65.8 per contest. Isaiah Bailey tops the team in scoring at 14.7 points per game. Forwards Shawntrez Davis and Soufiyane Diakite were named Preseason All-MEAC First-Team selections, while Bailey was selected on the second team.
The Canes travel to Fullerton, Calif., next week for three games in the Wooden Legacy. The Canes open the tournament on Thanksgiving Day against La Salle. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT. UM faces Northwestern or Fresno State Friday in its second game. The final game will be played next Sunday (Nov. 25).
