Canes Take Part in 2018 ACC Operation Basketball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference hosted its 2018 ACC Operation Basketball event Wednesday at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, site of the 2019 ACC Men’s Basketball Championship. The league’s annual kickoff to the men’s basketball season featured the head coaches and select student-athletes from each of the league’s 15 teams as well as over 200 members of the media.
The University of Miami was represented by head coach Jim Larrañaga, senior guard Anthony Lawrence II and junior forward Dewan Hernandez, each of whom participated in an array of interviews with print and broadcast media, a press conference and multiple photo shoots.
The Preseason Order of Finish, Preseason All-ACC, Preseason Player of the Year and Preseason Rookie of the Year will be announced Thursday.
In preparation for the 2018-19 regular season, Miami plays host to Barry University in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 30) at the Watsco Center. The Hurricanes open their regular season on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. against Lehigh.
