Canes Set to Compete at the Bedford Cup

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –The University of Miami men’s tennis team is set to compete in its first tournament in the Sunshine State when a quartet of student-athletes participate in the Bedford Cup at the USTA National Campus – home of the UCF Knights.
 
The Hurricanes will face a loaded field, featuring players from 10 Division I schools across the state of Florida. Tournament play will open on Friday morning and will run through Sunday afternoon.

Sophomores Pablo Aycart Joya and Tatsuki Shimamoto will team-up in doubles action, while sophomore William Grattan-Smith and freshman Kaya Gore will pair up. All four competitors will also compete in singles action.
 
All players are guaranteed at least three singles and two doubles matches, with doubles action set to kick off each day at 8:30 a.m.
