Huell to Test NBA Draft Process

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore forward Dewan Huell is declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft, but will not retain an agent, leaving him the flexibility to return to school.

Players have until April 22 to enter their names into the NBA Draft and until June 11 to withdraw from draft consideration. The NBA Draft will be held on June 21.

A 6-foot-11 forward from Miami, Huell averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game during the 2017-18 season. The only Miami player to start all 32 games this season, Huell ranked 14th in the ACC in rebounding at 6.6 per game. He shot 57.6 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Huell scored in double figures in 20 games, including three 20-plus point efforts. He recorded five double-doubles, with three coming in ACC play.
