CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami men’s basketball team heads to Notre Dame Monday for a 7 p.m. game at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center in Notre Dame, Ind. ESPN has the television broadcast, while WQAM 560-AM has the local radio broadcast. ESPN Radio has the national radio broadcast.
 
The Hurricanes (18-8, 7-7 ACC) lost at home to Syracuse, 62-55, Saturday and have dropped three straight games. UM has averaged 58.3 points per game and shot just 38 percent during that stretch.
 
Overall this season Miami is averaging 73.8 points per game and allowing 66.1 per game. Dewan Huell leads the Hurricanes in scoring at 11.7 points per game, while Lonnie Walker IV is scoring 11.1 per game. Chris Lykes has scored in double figures in each of Miami’s last four games, averaging 15.5 points per game in that span.
 
Miami is 6-4 in road games this season, including 3-4 in league play with victories at Pitt, NC State and Virginia Tech.
 
Notre Dame (16-11, 6-8 ACC) rode the hot hand of Matt Farrell to an 84-67 win at Boston College Saturday, the Fighting Irish’s third win in their last four games. Farrell hit 10 3-pointers and scored 37 points. The Irish’s leading scorer, Bonzie Colson at 21.4 points per game, is currently out with a foot injury, but Farrell is averaging 17.1 points per game and TJ Gibbs is scoring 16.0 per contest. Notre Dame is averaging 76.4 points per game and giving up 68.6 per game.
 
Miami is 10-11 all-time against Notre Dame, including 3-3 since the Fighting Irish joined the ACC for the 2013-14 season. Five of the six games as ACC rivals have been decided by single digits, including ND’s 67-62 win in Coral Gables in the teams’ last meeting on Jan. 12, 2017. Miami is 4-5 all-time at Notre Dame.
 
Miami returns home next Saturday (Feb. 24) for a 2 p.m. game against Boston College.
