CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami men’s basketball team plays host to Syracuse at noon Saturday at the Watsco Center. CBS has the television broadcast, while WQAM 560-AM has the local radio broadcast. Westwood One has the national radio broadcast and WMYM 990-AM ESPN Deportes has the local Spanish radio broadcast.
 
Fans wishing to attend home Miami basketball games this season are encouraged to use StubHub, the official secondary ticket market for Miami Athletics, to purchase single-game tickets, as season tickets are sold out.
 
The Hurricanes (18-7, 7-6 ACC) lost to top-ranked Virginia, 59-50, on Tuesday in Coral Gables, but the Hurricanes are 9-2 on their home court this season and have won 36 of their last 40 games at the Watsco Center. Three of the Canes’ final five regular-season games are in Coral Gables.
 
Miami is averaging 74.5 points per game and allowing 66.3 per game. Dewan Huell leads the Hurricanes in scoring at 11.8 points per game, while Lonnie Walker IV is scoring 11.1 per game. Chris Lykes has averaged a team-leading 16.0 points in Miami’s last three games, including a career-high 19-point effort Tuesday against UVA. Walker is averaging a team-high 13.3 points per home game this season.
 
Syracuse (17-9, 6-7 ACC) dropped a 74-70 home game to NC State Wednesday evening. Tyus Battle leads the team in scoring at 20.2 points per game. Frank Howard is averaging 15.1 points per game. After scoring 25 points Wednesday, Oshae Brissett is averaging 14.7 points as well as a team-high 8.9 rebounds per game. Syracuse averages 68.9 points per game and allows 63.8 per contest.
 
Miami is 8-17 all-time against Syracuse, including 3-3 since the Orange joined the ACC for the 2013-14 season.
Three of the six games as ACC rivals have been decided by five points or fewer. Miami is 4-9 on its home floor against the Orange.
 
The teams split a pair of meetings last year, with Syracuse earning a 70-55 home win on Jan. 4 and Miami claiming a 62-57 victory on March 8 in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament in Brooklyn.
 
Following the game Saturday, the Canes have a quick turnaround and head to Notre Dame Monday for a 7 p.m. game on ESPN. Miami returns home next Saturday (Feb. 24) for a 2 p.m. game against Boston College.
