CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami men’s basketball team returns home at 8 p.m. Wednesday to battle Louisville at the sold-out Watsco Center. ESPN2 has the broadcast, while the game also streams online through the WatchESPN app. WQAM 560-AM has the local radio broadcast, Compass Media Networks have the national radio broadcast and WMYM 990-AM ESPN Deportes has the local Spanish radio broadcast.
 
Ranked No. 24 nationally this week in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, the Hurricanes (14-4, 3-3 ACC) are back in action following an 86-81 win Sunday at NC State. Miami shot 57 percent in the victory, including 10-of-19 from 3-point range, in securing its fifth road win of the season. The Hurricanes dished out 26 assists on 34 field goals – their most ever in an ACC game and their most in any game since Nov. 16, 2009.
 
Miami is averaging 73.9 points per game while limiting opponents to 63.1 points per game, which is second fewest in the ACC, as well as 39.1 percent shooting. The Canes are holding their foes to 30.4 percent shooting from 3-point range, which is third lowest in the ACC.
 
Dewan Huell leads Miami in scoring at 13.6 points per game and also is grabbing 6.7 rebounds per game. Coming off a 19-point, nine-assist outing at NC State, Bruce Brown Jr. is averaging 11.5 points per game as well as a team-high 6.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
 
Louisville (15-4, 5-1) has won four straight games, including a 77-69 victory over Boston College Sunday at home. The Cardinals are receiving votes in both the AP and Coaches polls. Louisville averages 77.8 points per game and gives up 68.0 per contest. The Cardinals lead the ACC in blocked shots with 138 and have the conference’s top shot blocker in Anas Mahmoud at 3.53 per game. Deng Adel leads the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game. Ray Spalding is averaging 11.4 points and a team-high 9.3 rebounds per game.
 
Louisville holds a 10-3 lead in the series, including a 3-1 edge since joining the ACC. All three Miami wins have come at home. The Cardinals won the teams’ lone meeting last season, 71-66, on Feb. 11 at the KFC Yum! Center.
 
Miami continues ACC play Saturday with a 4 p.m. game at Florida State. The ACC Network has the broadcast. The Hurricanes knocked off FSU, 80-74, on Jan. 7 at the Watsco Center.
