NBA Summer League Orlando Updates

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Former University of Miami basketball player Trey McKinney Jones suited up for the Indiana Pacers this week in the 2017 Mountain Dew Orlando Pro Summer League.

In his first game, McKinney Jones found himself in the starting five, opening the game strong with 10 points in the first half while knocking down a pair of threes.

The guard capped off the afternoon with 11 points and three rebounds in 18 minutes of action, as the Pacers defeated the Orlando Magic, 85-74.

Sunday evening McKinney Jones and the Pacers returned to the Amway Center in a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets.

Closing out the evening with nine points, four assists and three rebounds, the Pacers improved to 2-0 after defeating the Hornets, 84-77.

In the third game, McKinney Jones scored seven points and pulled down five rebounds as the Pacers took down the Miami Heat 86-83.

Tuesday afternoon, McKinney Jones found himself all over the stat sheet recording 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block in 26 minutes of action against the Dallas Mavericks.

On Thursday, the Pacers wrapped-up Summer League play with an 89-80 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Once again finding himself in the starting lineup, McKinney Jones poured in 13 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

The native of Milwaukee, Wis., will now travel to Las Vegas to connect with Miami’s entry in the NBA Summer League that starts on Friday. McKinney Jones and the Heat will open up play against the San Antonia Spurs on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
