Q&A

1.      Why did you decide to attend the University of Miami? 

“I decided to come to Miami so I could make a name for myself in my hometown.” 

2.      What was the best aspect of being part of Miami’s Track & Field teams so far?  

“It’s been fun hanging around the team because everybody is cool and down to earth.”

3.      What are some of your goals for the season?  

“My goals for this season are to break the school record in the 400-meter hurdles, run 49 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles, & make it to NCAAs outdoor.”

4.      What do you feel was the biggest challenge you came across in since your arrival?

“Getting used to working out in the mornings and then going to class. In high school, we worked out and practiced in the afternoons after class.”

5.      What is/are the biggest difference(s) between pervious training and it now on at the University of Miami?

“Our workouts here are much more technical than what we did in high school.” 

6.      What do you do to prepare right before a meet? 

“I typically like to sleep or chill in bed all day. Definitely get my rest.”

7.      What do you do away from practice and studying to relax?  

“Outside of practice and school, I like to play sports video games.” 

8.      Three words to describe you and why? 

“Laid back, Original and Genuine”
