Q&A

1.      Why did you decide to attend the University of Miami?  

Because it’s all about the U.”

2.      What was the best aspect of being part of Miami’s Track & Field teams so far? 

“There are a million perks to being a student-athlete at Miami, like the nutrition center and having great teammates. Also, yoga on Thursdays is awesome.”

3.      What are some of your goals for the season? 

“I would like to go to outdoor nationals as a freshman.”

4.      What do you feel was the biggest challenge you came across in since your arrival? 

“Learning how to train in Miami, where the weather is different than back home, and doing both weights and normal practice in the same day.”

5.      What is the biggest difference between previous training and your training now at the University of Miami?

“On the team I used to train with, we didn’t have set rest times between sets, and it was more independent as there was only one coach for all of the athletes regardless of their event.”

6.      What do you do to prepare right before a meet? 

“I usually listen to my competition playlist and call my older brother, who does the same events as me, for motivation.” 

7.      What do you do away from practice and studying to relax?

Sleep or hang out with friends.” 

8.      Three words to describe you and why?

“Original, ambitious, & funny. I don’t know why, but that is what people tell me.”
