CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami men’s basketball coach Jim Larrañaga and guard Sheldon McClellan spoke with local media prior to Tuesday’s Canes’ game against Florida.

No. 17/20 Miami faces in-state rival Florida on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the BankUnited Center, in the second of three-straight games at home for the Hurricanes. UM finishes the homestand against the College of Charleston on Dec. 19.

Miami is 23-45 in the all-time series against Florida, which dates back to the 1927-28 season. The Canes are 16-15 at home against the Gators, 7-29 on the road and 0-1 at neutral sites. Miami won the last matchup with Florida, defeating the No. 8/7 Gators, 69-67, on Nov. 17, 2014, at the O’Connell Center in Gainesville.
