ProCanes Report: Thomas Back in D-League

NBA

James Jones – After playing for the Miami Heat the last four seasons, James Jones now resides in Cleveland, Ohio, playing for the Cavaliers. A sharpshooting wing who is known for his ability to shoot from three-point land, Jones is averaging 3.6 points per game with the Cavs

Shane Larkin – Larkin is in his first season with the New York Knicks. The point guard is averaging 5.5 points, 2.5 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. The Knicks record is 4-14, but Larkin has provided a boost in their victories, averaging 8.3 and 4.0 assists in those games.

John Salmons – Salmons is playing with the New Orleans Pelicans. A 12-year veteran, Salmons brings experience to a young Pelicans team. Salmons is averaging 13 minutes and 2 points in the 21 games he has played in.

D – League

Adrian Thomas – Thomas is currently playing in the D-League (NBA Development League) for the Bakersfield Jam, where he is averaging 3.81 points and 13 minutes per game.

Overseas

Garrius Adams – Adams is starting at shooting guard for the Liege Basketball team in Belgium. In five games for Liege, Adams averaged 9.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals. The team’s current record is 3-6.

Brian Asbury – Asbury is currently playing in the Israel Winner League for Hapoel Eilat. In three games, Asbury is averaging 15.3 points, 6 rebounds and a steal, while averaging over 31 minutes a game. Hapoel Eilat’s current record is 3-6.

Rion Brown — Brown is playing in the Israel Winner League for Hapoel Tel-Aviv alongside former Hurricanes teammate Durand Scott. Brown is coming off the bench, but is averaging a little over 22 minutes per game. In five games, Brown has averaged 6.8 points, 2 assists and 4.8 rebounds. Hapoel Tel-Aviv record is 4-4.

Guillermo Diaz – Diaz has played in 49 games this season for Capitanes De Arecibo in Puerto Rico. Diaz is one of the team’s top players, averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game. The guard’s 57.9 field goal percentage leads the team.

Julian Gamble — Gamble is the starting power forward for Basic Fit Brussels is Belgium. The big man is the third leading scorer on the team, averaging 12.7 points per game in over 20 minutes.

Lawrence Gilbert – Gilbert is playing in Colombia for Once Caldas De Manizales. Gilbert is averaging 13.5 points and 9.8 rebounds while playing a team-hig 37 minutes per game over the team’s first four contests.

Gary Hamilton – Hamilton plays in the Japan-BJ League for Osaka Evessa. The big man has earned the starting center position and leads the team with a 55.2 field goal percentage. Hamilton is averaging 6.1 points per game, adding  9.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game while helping Osaka Evessa to a 11-6 record.

Dequan Jones — Jones is a reserve for Acqua Vintasnella Cantu basketball team in Italy. The athletic wing is averaging 7.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. 

Kenny Kadji — Kadji plays in Greece for Aries Trikalla BC. Starting at center, Kadji has played in seven games and is averaging 12 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Kadji is shooting 41.2 percent from the field, making 21 out of 51 shots.

Anthony King — King is the starting center for the Artland Dragons in Germany. The talented big man  is shooting 74.4 percent and leads the Dragons with 5.3 rebounds per game. King is also the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 12.3 points per game.

Donnavan Kirk – Kirk is the starting power forward for Michelin Etha Engomis Nicosia in Cyprus. A long and athletic big, Kirk is averaging 14.3 points over 28 minutes per game. In his most recent game, Kirk scored 24 points and added nine rebounds, shooting 68.7 percent from the field.

Trey McKinney Jones – Jones is a reserve for Gravelines in France. A supremely athletic wing, McKinney Jones is averaging 9.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc. McKinney Jones has been been a spark off the bench, helping Gravelines in their nine victories this season.

Darius Rice – Rice plays for Maccabi Ashdod in the Israel Winner League. The 6-foot-10 Rice leads the team with eight rebounds per game.

Durand Scott – Scott is playing for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in Israel, alongside former Hurricanes teammate Rion Brown. The small forward for Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Scott is averaging 12.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2 steals per game. Scott scored 14 points, shooting 4-5 from the field, and added four steals in Hapoel Tel-Aviv’s latest win against Galil Gilboa.
