Coming off of a win over No. 8/7 Florida, the Hurricanes will play three games in the 2014 Gildan Charleston Classic Nov. 20-23. Miami opens the Classic against Drexel at 3 p.m. on Nov. 20.

This is the first meeting between Miami and the Drexel Dragons.

Miami continues its 11-day road trip of five games in nine days with its second game of the Charleston Classic, facing either Akron or Southern California at either Noon or 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 21.
Road Warriors
On Nov. 16, Miami started an 11-day roadtrip that will see the Canes play five games in nine days in three states. After an in-state matchup with Florida, Miami will play three games in the Charleston (S.C.) Classic, then wrap up the road swing with a Nov. 25 matchup against Charlotte.
Canes Receiving Vote in USA Today Poll
Miami is still receiving a vote in the USA TODAY Sports Top 25 men’s basketball coaches’ poll. Miami defeated then-No. 7 Florida on Nov. 17, and will face off against five other teams in the top 25, including five in the top 10: Duke (No. 3), North Carolina (No. 6), Florida (No. 7), Louisville (No. 8) and Virginia (No. 9).
In addition to a ranked Syracuse team (No. 24), Miami has three other opponents receiving votes on its 2014-15 schedule: Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Illinois.
Rodriguez on Cousy Watch List
Junior PG Angel Rodriguez is one of 36 players listed on the watch list for the 2015 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.
Rodriguez plays D, Drains 24 in Win Over Florida
Junior PG Angel Rodriguez scored 22 his 24 points in the final nine minutes against No. 8/7 Florida, draining five 3-pointers in the last seven minutes to help Miami to the win. Rodriguez also showed his strong defense by drawing a charge with three seconds remaining in the game. In 36 minutes, Rodriguez totalled three assists, three steals and two rebounds with his 7-14 shooting, hitting five from distance, and 5-7 mark at the free throw line.
Cane Strong: UMBB in the Weight Room
Five Canes bench at least 300 pounds and eight bench press more than 250 pounds. Joe Thomas leads the way at 375, followed by Deandre Burnett (315), who is up 85 pounds since arriving at UM. Also in the 300-club are Angel Rodriguez (300/+60), Manu Lecomte (300/+85) and Mike Fernandez (300/+95).
Seasons of Change
Miami faces back-to-back seasons with roster turnover after losing six players from the 2012-13 ACC Championship season – five to graduation, one to NBA – then six seniors (5 scholarship) after the 2013-14 campaign.
