FMSbonds' $1 Million Gift Nets New Scoreboard

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami Hurricanes home basketball games will be more exciting this year as a new state-of-the-art center-hung scoreboard – made possible by a $1 million Momentum2 campaign gift from FMSbonds, Inc. – will be unveiled in time for the 2014-15 season.

The massive display at BankUnited Center will feature high-definition video, replays and interactive fan promotions. The gift was made possible by FMSbonds, Inc. President James A. Klotz and Chairman Paul Feinsilver. Klotz is a long-time University of Miami Athletics donor and is a member of the Athletics Visiting Committee.

“Athletics are an important window into the university,” Klotz said. “This state-of-the-art scoreboard is one more way that UM, which excels in so many areas, will stand out among the premier programs in the country.”

The four-sided video scoreboard, customized specifically for UM Athletics, will provide complete game and player information as well as highlights and other video entertainment. Installation is expected to be completed by the season opener in October 2014.

“Our sincere gratitude to Jimmy Klotz and Paul Feinsilver of FMSbonds,” said UM Director of Athletics Blake James. “Their leadership and generosity will allow us to further improve our championship-level facilities and provide a great game day atmosphere for our fans and our student-athletes.”
