@CanesHoops Participates in Coaches vs Cancer
Coach Jim Larrañaga and his staff’s shoes will not be matching their attire at this Saturday’s game, but no reason to worry, it’s for a good cause!
Coaches will be wearing sneakers with their suits from Jan. 24 to Jan. 26, for the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers™ Awareness Weekend. Miami Coach Larrañaga and his staff, along with Syracuse’s head coach Jim Boeheim and his staff, will be sporting sneakers at Saturday’s game between the Hurricanes and Orange.
Members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches across the college basketball landscape will be joining forces and wearing sneakers in a singular effort to show support for the American Cancer Society. The Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers campaign hopes to raise $400,000 by the Final Four to help the American Cancer Society saves lives.
Tip-off Saturday at the BankUnited Center is set for 1 p.m.
Fans can take part in the effort on social media by following Coaches vs. Cancer on Facebook and @CoachesVsCancer on Twitter and are encouraged to use #SuitsAndSneakers.
