 Nov. 8, 2013 | Miami vs. St. Francis (NY) | BankUnited Center
The Hurricanes will open their non-conference schedule Friday, Nov. 8 with a matchup against St. Francis (NY) at the BankUnited Center. Miami is 1-0 against the New York school, with the first matchup resulting in a 71-70 Miami victory in 1963. Miami is 49-14 in season openers, has won 20-straight season openers, and 20-straight home openers. Coach L is 2-0 in openers at UM. The Hurricanes were 14-1 at the BankUnited Center in 2012-13 and are 121-48 overall in the BUC. The Hurricanes have notched double-digit home wins at the BankUnited in six-straight seasons and nine times in 10 full seasons calling the arena home.

For the first time in their history, Miami will face Georgia Southern in their second non-conference game. The game, which will be played at the BankUnited Center, is one of three matchups in which the Canes will be facing an opponent for the first time.
 Nov. 14, 2013 | Miami vs. Texas Southern | BankUnited Center
Miami’s basketball schedule will continue in Coral Gables, Fla., against first-time opponent Texas Southern. The matchup will be the Hurricanes’ third non-conference game. Texas Southern will be one of three first time opponents for the Canes during the 2013-14 season.
 Nov. 18, 2013 | Miami at College of Charleston | Charleston, S.C.
For the first time in their non-conference schedule, the Miami Hurricanes will travel away from Coral Gables to Charleston, S.C., to face the College of Charleston as part of the Wooden Legacy. The Cougars finished 24-11 last season, including a second-place finish in the Southern Conference with a 14-4 record. Charleston returns four of its five starters from last season, including the team’s second leading scorer. This will be the first matchup with CoC in Miami’s history.
 Nov. 21, 2013 | Miami vs. UCF | BankUnited Center
The Hurricanes will return home to face UCF, a team Miami has had a successful 7-1 record against. The last meeting occurred in 2012, a 72-50 win at UCF’s CFE arena. The Knights return four of five starters from the 2012-13 season, including their leading scorer. Miami is 4-0 against UCF at home since 1986.
