Williams, Dorsett Wrap Up Bob Pollock Invite

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Canes battled their fellow competitors, as well as inclement weather, at the Bob Pollock Invitational Saturday.

Samantha Williams and Phillip Dorsett endured rain and temperatures dipped into the 50s on Clemson’s Rock Norman Outdoor Track.

“The conditions were less than ideal and both Phillip and Sam competed hard under difficult circumstances,” Miami jumps coach Gavin O’Neal said.

Even with the difficult conditions, Williams placed third in the women’s triple jump with a mark of 39’ 6.5”.

Dorsett ran the men’s 100m dash in 10.7 seconds, finishing with the third fastest preliminary time at the meet. The sophomore did not run in the final due to the difficult weather conditions.
