Larra'aga To Drop Puck at Panthers Game
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment today announced that the Florida Panthers will honor the ACC Champion Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team on Thursday with Head Coach Jim Larrañaga dropping the ceremonial puck at the Panthers-Maple Leafs game at 7:30 p.m. at the BB&T Center.
Larrañaga will be joined by Athletic Director Blake James and select players, coaches and staff as the Panthers organization pays tribute to the Hurricanes’ incredible conference championship season, and Coach Larrañaga’s National Coach of the Year recognition.
“The entire Florida Panthers organization is honored to recognize Coach Larrañaga and the University of Miami men’s basketball team for an incredible season,” said Panthers President Michael R. Yormark. “Many Panthers fans are also Canes fans and as a member of the South Florida sports family, we believe strongly in supporting our fellow local teams.”
“We want to thank our good friends at the Panthers for the privilege of dropping the puck and the hospitality they are extending our University and our ACC Champion men’s basketball program,” said James. “We look forward to an exciting night at the BB&T Center.”
