MBB Tied for No. 4 in Top 25 Coaches Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Just hours after winning the 2013 ACC Tournament championship, the Miami Hurricanes are tied with the Indiana Hoosiers at No. 4 in the USA TODAY final regular-season Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Miami (27-6) jumped six spots from No. 10 after completing a sweep of the ACC regular-season and tournament titles. The Canes are the No. 2 seed in the East Region of the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and will face No. 15 seed Pacific on Friday in Austin, Texas. Miami’s 2 seed is tied for the highest seed in program history; the Canes were a 2 seed in the East Region of the 1999 NCAA Championship.

Miami and Indiana finished with 639 total points each, and both were 64 points behind No. 3 Kansas.

The USA TODAY Sports Board of Coaches is made up of 31 head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
