CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Trey McKinney Jones scored 15 points Sunday for the Miami Hurricanes as they won their seventh game in a row by beating Florida State, 71-47.
The blowout victory was in front of a sell out crowd, the second in a row for the 25th-ranked Hurricanes, ensuring an exponential jump in Monday’s poll. They blewout No. 1 Duke on Wednesday.
Miami (15-3, 6-0) is off to its best start in the conference, alone atop the standings, and is 9-0 at home. Florida State (11-8, 3-3) fell to 0-3 this season against ranked teams.
