CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketballteam (5-2, 2-0 BIG EAST) looks to keep its 14-game home winning streakalive when Florida Atlantic (1-5, 0-0 TAAC) travels to the Knight SportsComplex for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday, December 16.

The Hurricanes, led recentlyby Cassaundra Wimes, are on afour-game win streak after defeating Hampton, 84-52, on Dec. 12.Wimeshas been averaging 19.7 points over the past three UM wins overpreviously defeated Boston College, Syracuse and Hampton.

The 14-game home win streakis the longest in program history,since the 1991-92 team went 17-0 at home en route to a 30-2 overallrecord and a No. 6 national ranking.

Miami is a perfect 9-0 all-timeagainst Florida Atlantic,including a 7-0 mark at the Knight Sports Complex. Last season,theHurricanes equaled their highest point output of the season and higheston the road with a 105-84 victory at the FAU Gymnasium.
