CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’sbasketball team (11-10, 6-7 BIG EAST) host No. 12 Rutgers (20-4,12-1 BIGEAST) on Wednesday, February 10 at 7 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complexonthe UM campus.

Rutgers leads the all-time series with Miami 6-4, includinga 2-1 mark against the Hurricanes at the Knight Sports Complex.

The ScarletKnights have won the past three straight over UM, including a 68-54decisionon January 5 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, NJ.

Each ofthe past four meetings, including the last three losses, with Rutgershavecome on the road. Wednesday’s nightsvisit to Coral Gables by theScarlet Knights marks their first visit to UM since Dec. 8, 1996.

UM is led by Kym Hope’s 16.3 points and 8.6 rebounds pergame. Jennifer Jordan (14.3 ppg) and Cassaundra Wimes (11.9 ppg)are bothaveraging double-figures for the Hurricanes.

Rutgers is led by Shawnetta Stewarts’ 14.5 points per game.Tomora Young (10.7 ppg), Tammy Sutton-Brown (10.0 ppg) and Tasha Pointer(10.7 ppg) are all averaging double-digit scoring for the Scarlet Knights.Young and Pointer both joined UM’s Hope on the All-BIG EAST PreseasonFirstTeam, while Sutton-Brown is the BIG EAST’s most recent Player of theWeekhonoreee.
