Edgerrin James and Najeh Davenport each had a pair of touchdown runs as Miami rolled over Boston College, 35-17, in a BIG EAST Conference game. James and Davenport helped the Hurricanes accumulate 582 total yards, including 327 on the ground. James ran for 182 yards on 31 carries and Davenport carried 11 times for 69 yards.

He added a one-yard plunge with 6:17 remaining in the opening quarter to give the Hurricanes a 14-0 advantage. A 10-yard pass from Scott Covington to Daryl Jones gave Miami a 21-0 lead. The Eagles got on the board early in the second on Scott Mutryn’s 20-yard pass to Anthony DiCosmo, but Davenport’s seven-yard run with just under five minutes remaining in the half restored the three-touchdown lead.
