CORAL GABLES, Fla. — University of Miami athletic director PaulDee accepted an invitation today for the Hurricanes to play in the MicronPC Bowl on December 29th at Pro Player Stadium.The Hurricanes willface N.C. State (7-4, 5-3) out of the Atlantic Coast Conference in a 7:30p.m. game nationally televised by TBS.
“The University of Miami is pleased that by accepting the invitationto play in the Micron PC Bowl, that all of our fans in the region willhave the opportunity to see in person the Hurricanes play one more timethis season,” said Dee.
“Playing in a bowl is reward for a fine season for our playersand coaches,” said coach Butch Davis.“I look forward to the teamhaving a wonderful Bowl experience right here in South Florida and playingagainst a very good N.C. State team.”
The Hurricanes are 12-12 all-time in Bowl games and are makingtheir second appearance in a post-season game at Pro Player Stadium.
