CORAL GABLES, FL – The Universityof Miami football team continued
preparations for Saturday’s BIG EAST contest at Rutgers with a twohour
15 minute workout at the Greentree Practice Field. Practicingin full
pads, the Hurricanes worked in position groups before breaking intoteam
drills.
Head coach Butch Davis hasbeen pleased with the team’s attitude
this fall.
“The one thing I likeabout our football team is that we have a
lot of guys that are playing because they love the game of football,”
said coach Butch Davis. “They just want to play games. They would play
20 games if they could and that is encouraging.”
UM fans wanting to get aninside look at the Hurricanes are
encouraged to be a part of the studio audience for this week’s tapingof
the Butch Davis Television Show, and the live, weekly radio show
“Hurricane Hotline.”
The Butch Davis Show, whichairs every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on
WPLG Channel 10 and on SportsChannel, will be taped at Shula’s Steak2in
Miami Lakes Thursday at noon.
Hurricane Hotline, a two-hour,weekly call-in show featuring
Davis and athletic director Paul Dee is conducted on location at the
Longhorn Steakhouse, 1630 N.W. 87th Ave. (a.k.a. Galloway). TheHotline
can be heard on WINZ, 940 AM, Miami, every Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Single-game tickets forremaining Hurricane home games,
including next week’s showdown with Florida State are available atthe
UM ticket office and all TicketMaster locations, or can be orderedby
phone at 1-800-GO-CANES.
