CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The 24th-ranked University of Miami Hurricanesheld a two-hour practice this morning in pads at Greentree Practice Field.The Hurricanes face North Carolina State on December 29th at Pro PlayerStadium in the Micron PC Bowl.

Following the session the players were taken on a “field trip”for the remainder of the day, choosing between air boat rides in the Evergladesand deep-sea fishing.

“Today was a good day of practice,” commented coach Butch Davis.“We spent about half the practice working on fundamentals and just gettingback into the groove. The rest of the time was spent on North CarolinaState.”

The Hurricanes return to practice Friday with a 9 a.m. workoutat Greentree. The team will practice through Sunday the 20th beforetaking a two-day break on the 21st and 22nd.

Tickets for the Micron PC Bowl are available through the UM ticketoffice. They can be purchased in person or by calling 1-800-GO-CANES.Fans are encouraged to support the Hurricanes and purchase tickets outof the school’s allotment by going through the UM ticket office.
