Watch Highlights from DeQuan Jones' Google+ Hangout

On March 26, the Miami Hurricanes hosted a Google+ Hangout with six lucky Canes fans who got the unique opportunity to share their best dunk ideas with DeQuan Jones in preparation for Jones’ appearance in the 2012 State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship in New Orleans.

The fans were on the live video chat with Jones and HurricaneSports.com host Amy Audibert at 6 p.m. on Google+ Hangout on the official page of the Miami Hurricanes. As dunk ideas came in, Jones went right to the practice court at the BankUnited Center to see if the dunk was actually possible and whether or not it could be a winning dunk. Jones also talked to the fans about his career at Miami as well as his future plans.

Jones opened the 2012 Denny’s Slam Dunk Contest with a perfect score of 40 from the on-site judges in the 24th Annual State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship on ESPN. He ended the event by jumping over a motorcycle in the semifinals, an idea brought up to him during the Google+ Hangout.
