Game Notes – Miami vs. Florida State – Quarterfinals 
The Game
Miami will face No. 17 Florida State, for the third time this season, in the Quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament on March 9 at 9 p.m. in Philips Arena.
The Series
Miami is 29-39 against Florida State overall, splitting the two games this season as the home team prevailed in both outings.
The Broadcasts
Catch the game on ESPNU with Mike Patrick, Len Elmore and Jeannine Edwards making the call. On the ACC Network, Tim Brando, Cory Alexander and Debbie Antonelli will cover the matchup. The game will also be carried live by 560 WQAM Radio with Joe Zagacki (play-by-play) and Josh Darrow (analyst), Sirius 85 and XM 85.

Head coach Jim Larranaga is in his 28th season as a head coach and first at Miami. He has a 489-345 overall record and holds a 462-319 record in D-I games. Coach L was also the head coach of D-II American International (27-26) for two years.

– Miami held Georgia Tech to just 36 points in the First Round of the ACC Tournament, the lowest-scoring game in the tournament. The Yellow Jackets scored just 20 points in the first half, tied for the least allowed in the first half by Miami this season. GT scored just 16 second-half points, the least allowed by Miami in the second stanza this season.
– Miami will face No. 17 Florida State, for the third time this season, in the Quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament on March 9 at 9 p.m. in Philips Arena.
– Friday will be the first meeting between Miami and Florida State in the ACC Tournament.

– Miami is 16-4 when shooting better than 40 percent from the field, 5-0 when recording 15 or more assists, 14-3 when scoring more than 70 points, 15-4 when leading at halftime and 11-3 when four or more Canes score in double figures.
