Coral Gables, Fla. — After rained shortened the first attempt, Miami completed its annual Pro Timing Day on Friday, March 25. Scouts from nearly 20 National Football League (NFL) teams were in attendance to watch potential pro prospects from Miami and surrounding schools run combine and skill drills. Fifteen players from the `Canes participated, most notably potential first-round picks Brandon Harris, Leonard Hankerson, Alan Bailey and Orlando Franklin. The `Canes who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine kept their times, but the other athletes ran the 40-yard dash, the three cone drill, and both the 20 and 60 yard shuttle. After scouts recorded the times, the offensive linemen were the first group to run position drills, followed by the running backs, receivers, defensive backs, linebackers, and finally the kickers
