CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami junior Kate Howarth, who earlier today was named the ACC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week also earned CollegeSoccer360.com’s National Primetime Player of the Week honor after leading the Hurricanes to a pair of league wins over top-10 ranked opponents.

Howarth contributed a pair of assists in last Thursday night’s 3-2 upset of fourth-ranked Boston College, including the assist on Jordan Roseboro’s game-winning goal in the 75th minute.

Howarth scored both goals in Sunday’s 2-1 win over 10th-ranked Maryland. The Grand Blanc, Mich., forward’s second goal came in the 62nd minute and snapped a 1-1 tie.

Howarth leads Miami in scoring this season with nine goals and six assists and is tied for fourth among ACC players in scoring with 24 points.
