Williams' Run Ends at US Track Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Lauryn Williams wrapped up competition for past and present Hurricanes  Sunday at this week’s USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.

Williams raced to a 23.03-second finish in the 200m dash, just .13 seconds shy of advancing to the final later in the evening.

The former world champion and Olympic silver medalist also reached the 100m dash semifinal on Saturday.

In all, eight current and former Hurricanes participated in the US Track and Field Junior and Senior Championships.

Ti’erra Brown and Takecia Jameson competed in the 400m hurdles and Devon Hill raced in the 110m hurdles. In the junior championships, Luke Fontaine and Lindsi Arrington raced in the men’s and women’s 1,500m run respectively. Brooke Dovell competed in the 5,000m run and Nicole Cummings participated in the long jump.
