Jim Larranaga Basketball Camp Filling up Fast
June 21, 2011
CORAL GABLES, FLA. – University of Miami head men’s basketball coach Jim Larranaga is in high demand.
Over his first two months, Miami’s new coach has been busy assembling his staff and getting to know his team, in addition to meeting with local leaders and becoming a part of the Miami community. While the Hurricanes are excited about their new coach with his Final Four pedigree, that enthusiasm has also spread to the community as the first two weeks of the 2011 Jim Larranaga Basketball Camp sold out. This week alone, there has been up to 30 children on the waiting list for the camp for boys between the ages of seven and 17.
Registration is currently being accepted for the final two sessions of the five-day camps – from July 11-15 and July 25-29. For $275 per session, kids receive daily individual instruction, game play, all-you-can-eat lunch, a camp t-shirt and a camp basketball. In addition, there are tremendous guest lecturers, many awards given with each age group and a championship series played on the final day.
Sessions run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
Children of UM employees may receive a $25 discount, while discounts are also available for groups of six or more.
