Three `Canes to Open ACC Championships in Pentathlon

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami Track and Field team will return to Blacksburg, Va. to compete in the ACC Indoor track and Field Championships at the Rector Field House Thursday through Saturday.
Hurricane juniors Rachel Dupree and Britney Clarke along with freshman Nicole Cummings are scheduled to compete in the pentathlon in Thursday’s only action, beginning at 12 p.m.
The trio will compete in the 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m run. Earlier this season in Lexington, Ky., Dupree moved into third place on the school’s all-time list as she totaled 3,576 points in the pentathlon.
