Women's Basketball Fantasy Camp a Success

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – In the first ever Women’s Basketball Camp on Wednesday night, scores of fans and supporters came out to learn what really goes on at a Katie Meier basketball practice.

It was an event that featured eight different practice stations that campers of all skill levels could enjoy. To wrap everything up, campers were able to play either in a 5-on-5 or 3-on-3 pick-up game.

Each team was assigned a “Celebrity” coach and played in two eight minute games. Baseball head coach Jim Morris, Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Amy Deem, assistant volleyball coach Laura Kuhn, associate head soccer coach Jeff Freeman and Senior Women’s Administrator Connie Nickel all took the helm of their talented squads.

The event took place inside the Basketball Field House and was open to anyone 21-and-up.
