CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s soccer team will look to remain unbeaten in road ACC contests when it faces NC State Thursday night at Dail Soccer Field. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Hurricanes (8-4-1, 2-2-0 ACC) finished their two-game homestand with a 1-1 record – defeating No. 18 Duke and falling to No. 22 Wake Forest. However, the `Canes are looking to finish out the conference schedule strong beginning with Thursday evening’s match.

Senior Brittney Macdonald, known as one of the best defender in school history, has also been a serious threat on the offensive end. The Littleton, Colo. native has three goals on the year – a single-season personal best – while only taking a total of eight shots. Only Brittney Steinbruch (6) and Kate Howarth (4) have more goals than Macdonald.

On the season, the Hurricanes have netted 25 goals as a team – already ranking as the seventh-best total in team history with six regular season games still remaining.

The Wolfpack will host Thursday’s match with an even 7-7-0 record overall and a 1-4 mark inside the conference. Kristina Argiroff leads the squad with five goals, but five different players on the team have scored three or more goals on the season.

Goal keeper Kim Kern will likely get the start for NC State and she, like Miami’s Vikki Alonzo (0.90 GAA), boasts a solid goals against average at 0.91.
