Miami Women Named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Miami women’s track team has been named a 2010 Division I All-Academic Team by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

As a team, the Hurricanes compiled a 3.02 cumulative GPA and were one of 151 programs to earn the distinction as a result of a GPA of 3.0 or better. ACC schools Florida State, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest were also honored for their academic success.

In June, Miranda Wilson and Kristy Whyte earned individual academic honors as they were named to the 2010 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.
