Jacory Harris named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
Sophomore quarterback Jacory Harris has been selected as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending November 1. Harris threw for over 300 yards for the second time in his career as the Hurricanes came back to defeat Wake Forest 28-27 in Winston-Salem on Halloween. He completed 22 of 43 attempts for 330 yards and three touchdowns, including the game winner to Travis Benjamin with 1:08 left in the game which capped off a nine-play, 82-yard drive. Harris surpassed the 2,000 yard passing mark to become the first Hurricane to throw for more than 2,000 yards in a season since Kyle Wright in 2005. For his efforts, Jacory was recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference as the ACC Co-Offensive Back of the Week. It was his third ACC selection of the season and the sixth of his career.
